​​​​​​​Bakr Alo: Relief aid and fuel did not reach al-Shahba canton

The co-chair of Afrin and al-Shahba canton council, Bakr Alo, confirmed to ANHA’s agency in a phone call that "the relief aid and fuel did not reach al-Shahba canton after the country was affected by the earthquake."

In his turn, the displaced, Muhammad Ahmed, said, "The region has witnessed an increase in the number of residents in recent days in light of the suffocating siege it suffers from by the Damascus government. Therefore, humanitarian organizations and international forces must pressure Damascus to lift the suffocating siege imposed on the region and allow the entry of aid to it."

As for the displaced, Jiwan Muhammad, he said: "Since the Damascus government tightened its siege on al-Shahba, the region has witnessed an outrageous increase in the prices of fuel, medicine, and foodstuffs, which increased the suffering of the families who flocked to al-Shahba, at a time when aid did not reach the region."
