Patriot Mustafa Othman martyred in Damascus

Mustafa Othman hails from the village of Kor Ali, west of the city of Kobani, and he was born in 1948. Before getting to know the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in the seventies of the last century, he lived in Bakur in 1975, and there he got to know the Kurdistan Liberation Movement. Gelo worked with the international martyr Hakki Qarar in the city of Diluk / Gaziantep during the years 1976 and 1977.

He also participated very effectively in the process of leaving the leader Abdullah Ocalan from Bakur to Rojava in July 1979, and he had to move his house from the city of Gaziantep to his village of Kor Ali in Kobani.

Over the course of 15 years, Mustafa Othman played a major role in transporting the cadres of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement to Bakur and receiving them in Rojava. He also went repeatedly to the Amanus Mountains in Bakur for this purpose.

He received training from the leader Abdullah Ocalan at the Martyr Masum Korkmaz Academy. He worked with Murat Karayilan, the member of the Executive Committee of the PKK, in Rojava for several years.

In 1990, " he was subjected to a failed assassination attempt and security pursuit in Kobani by what was known as the "Military Security" of the Damascus government, after which he moved his house to the Ashrafieh neighborhood in the city of Aleppo.

Mustafa Othman followed the activities of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement in Aleppo and did not stop working despite the pressures that the Damascus government was exerting against him. In 1997, he was arrested and imprisoned in Sednaya prison for 4 years, during which he was subjected to the most severe degrees of torture, until he revealed earlier that he had been "burned" during his imprisonment.

After his release from prison in 2001, his health slowly deteriorated. Despite that, he practiced his revolutionary duties for the benefit of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement over the past 22 years, until he suffered from diabetes and martyred in a hospital in the capital, Damascus, on Wednesday evening (February 1).

His body is scheduled to be buried today in the shrine of Martyr Dejla, south of Kobani.
