​​​​​​​25 mercenaries arrested; found weapons in Sirin town

The Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with the Syrian Democratic Forces, announced the arrest of 25 ISIS mercenaries in the town of Sirin, south of Kobani canton, as part of the security campaign "Revenge for the martyrs of Raqqa", on its second day.

During a statement delivered by the Internal Security Forces from inside the town of Sirin, they announced that weapons and ammunition were found in the possession of the mercenaries in the town and the countryside.

The Internal Security Forces demanded during the statement; The population, in cooperation with them, eliminated the sleepers’ cells of mercenaries and their movements in the Sirin area.

Yesterday night, Wednesday, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria and the Syrian Democratic Forces began carrying out large-scale security operations and launching the joint operations room for the "revenge campaign for the martyrs of Al-Raqqa" in the regions of Raqqa, Tabqa, Jarniyyah and Sirin.

The campaign mainly aims to track down and seize terrorist cell members, especially the dangerous elements, and destroy communication channels between them as well as remove potential hideouts of their activity and dry up the supportive environment for them, including elements that facilitate and cover up cells and recruitment and polarization networks.
