The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria AANES has sent many calls to the Damascus government to conduct a dialogue to end the Syrian crisis with a solution that the Syrians themselves can reach.

Although the Damascus government did not heed these calls, many circles in Syria see the dialogue between the Damascus government and the Autonomous Administration as necessary in order to end the crisis that began in the spring of 2011.

A few days ago, the co-chair of the Executive Committee of the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), Jamil Bayik, called on the Damascus government not to be dragged behind the policies of the Turkish occupation state aimed at exterminating the Kurds, stressing that "Syria's interest is not in liquidating and exterminating the Kurds, but in allying with them."

Statements we look at positively and appreciatively

The Syrian politician and head of the Syria First Party, Salman Shabib, touched on Bayek's statements, saying: "We can only look positively at this statement, especially since it is issued by a central and influential figure in the struggle of the Kurdish people, and whose words and advice received attention and respect among wide circles of political forces." Kurdish and non-Kurdish community, including the forces forming the Autonomous Administration, and they reflect a high responsibility concern for the national interests and unity of the Syrian people and a deep understanding of the nature of the conflicts, events, conspiracies and maneuvers taking place in our homeland, against it and in the entire region, and the Turkish regime is one of the most aggressive and harmful parties to the sovereignty and unity There are many countries in it, the first of which is our country, Syria, and its policies negatively affect the interests of peoples and the concept and feelings of solidarity and brotherhood among them, including the Turkish people with all their national and religious components.

Shabib added: "There is no doubt that this statement in these circumstances acquires special importance, due to the delicate and difficult stage that the Syrian issue is going through, the exacerbation of the challenges facing Syria and its people, and their reaching high levels of complexity and danger, as a result of the prolongation of the crisis, the disruption of all political tracks, and the fall of Syria to a large extent." A victim of the conflict of interests and the great international clash in Ukraine, and the absence of any horizon for serious and effective regional or international understandings, that could sponsor a near political settlement that ends the Syrian ordeal and the malicious Turkish exploitation of all these circumstances and the maneuvers that it is carrying out to blackmail some of the influential parties in the Syrian file to achieve its declared goals and ambitions in Syrian land.

Dialogue is the only option that is consistent with the interests of the Syrians

Regarding the need for dialogue between the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government, Shabib said: "We really hope that Mr. Jamil Bayek's invitation to the Syrian government and the Autonomous Administration for dialogue will receive the required response, and dialogue in our opinion, which we always repeat, is the only option that is consistent with the real interests of the Syrian people with all its components." And its success certainly achieves it, and every day the importance and necessity of the agreement increases, which we hope and assume that dialogue between the two parties will reach quickly, because it will form the solid basis for facing the existential challenges facing our country and for restoring Syria’s unity and its new resurrection and uniting the Syrian national efforts to liberate our occupied land and get rid of all foreign presence on it. Confronting foreign ambitions, especially Turkish ones, and accelerating reaching a political solution that achieves the aspirations of the Syrians and is in line with their interests.

Shabib believed that "certainly there are regional and international forces, and even Syria, that do not want the agreement to happen and exert pressure for their own considerations to thwart it, and because they are aware of the positive change that will result in the Syrian scene, on the field, politically, economically and socially at all levels, and it will inevitably constitute a major blow to all bets and plans; to achieve Western ambitions and interests at the expense of Syria and its people and its ambitions to build a prosperous future worthy of it.

He added, "We are confident that the dialogue between the government and the Autonomous Administration with the forces forming it, if it is established and built on Syrian national accounts away from narrow calculations, impossible conditions and demands, and held in an atmosphere of confidence, will succeed in resolving all existing problems and reaching an agreement, and all pressures and malicious attempts to obstruct it will fail."

Disastrous consequences of failure of dialogue

Regarding the negative results of the failure of the dialogue, Shabib said: "I cannot imagine the failure of the two parties to reach an agreement, because all other options will inevitably be disastrous with their results and repercussions on Syria in a fundamental way and on the region and its peoples, and the first and most dangerous of them is the specter of division that will extend to the surrounding countries and the accompanying consequences." Bloody conflicts, demographic change, displacement, and famines, and I cannot understand why? The two sides can negotiate with foreign parties and powers and reach agreements and understandings with them, but they do not succeed in that with each other, and they are all Syrians, and they are supposed to be one party in the face of others, because they are basically brothers united by a national identity. One and one interests, and they face common risks and challenges. We hope that the fraternal dialogue between the two parties will continue and succeed and an agreement will be reached as soon as possible and before it is too late.
