Sources from the city of Aleppo reported that the "Political Security" branch of the Damascus government forces had kidnapped a citizen from Afrin in the city of Aleppo. Under the pretext of dealing with the Autonomous Administration institutions.

The sources said that the "Political Security" affiliated with the forces of the Damascus government, kidnapped the elderly Kurd (Izzat Muhammad Muhammad, 65 years old, mother Arifah), nicknamed "Izzat Inglis", from the village of Qarmtlaq in the Shia district in the occupied Afrin canton.

It added that the Damascus government had kidnapped the citizen, Ezzat, while he was on his way to al-Shahba district, at one of the checkpoints on the road linking Aleppo - al-Shahba, on the 15th of this month.

According to the same sources, Ezzat was taken to the "Political Security" branch in the Sulaymaniyah neighborhood, without knowing his fate.

He pointed out that the Damascus government is asking the kidnapped family for sums of money for his release.
