​​​​​​​Office of Social Justice in Raqqa denounces acts of vandalism that affected public property

 This came during a statement, and the statement was read at the headquarters of the Office of Social Justice in Raqqa, by the co-chair of the Raqqa Civil Council, Sheikh Muhammad Nour Al-Dheeb, in the presence of the joint presidency of the Office of Social Justice in Raqqa and members of the Legislative and Executive Councils and the Raqqa Civil Council, which stated:

 Yesterday, corresponding to January 22, 2023, a number of the people of the city of Raqqa staged a demonstration under the pretext of the murder of the murdered teacher, "Nora Al-Ahmad" and her eight-year-old daughter, although the Internal Security Forces arrested the perpetrators of the crime in less than 24 hours and they will be handed over to the judiciary to receive their fair punishment according to the law.”

 The statement continued, "Since the right to demonstrate is protected according to domestic and international laws and legislation, this right must be respected and adhered to so that it is not misused by external agendas aimed at sabotage and striking existing security and stability."

 The statement stressed that "the people who went out in the demonstration aimed to destabilize security and stability in the city, as the demonstration turned into riots. Some demonstrators attacked the property of the people in the city's markets, the court building, burned some of its offices and damaged its furniture, and caused the escape of 30 detainees who were awaiting their trial sessions."  As a result, 5 members of the Internal Security Forces were injured as a result of the demonstrators attacking them with grenades.

 The statement condemned and denounced the attacks and acts of vandalism, and the Court of Justice said through it: "We affirm that we are with the rightful demands of our people within the law, and also warn our people not to be drawn into the incitements of the parties hostile to the project of the democratic nation that was established thanks to the blood of our martyr sons."

 The statement concluded, "We bear the responsibility to protect the area, which also falls on every individual in the city, and will do everything we have to do to punish anyone who begged himself to sabotage public property and hold accountable those who committed acts of vandalism and chaos yesterday, and we extend our deepest condolences to the families of the murdered Noura Al-Ahmad and her child."  We wish a speedy recovery for our wounded."
