​​​​​​​Demonstrations and disobedience... Are areas of Damascus government verge of a big explosion?

 The Damascus government believes that, through killing, destruction, demographic change, and making deals over the past 11 years, it has been "victorious" in its battle against the Syrian people. However, the renewed popular movement in Syria, which rejects the exclusionary mentality followed by the Ba'ath rule in Syria, has become like a burning fire under the ashes.  And its temperature began to appear on the surface, waiting for the opportunity to explode in the face of the dictatorship;  To build a free and democratic Syrian society.

 In this regard, southern Syria and a number of areas under the control of the Damascus government are witnessing demonstrations and sit-ins, perhaps the strongest since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.  As the first images that started the Syrian movement in 2011 have returned to the fore, which is writing anti-government phrases and improving the living situation.

 Perhaps the most influential movement is taking place in the city of As-Suwayda, where its people continue their popular movement seeking real change in Syria by various peaceful means through continuous sit-ins and civil disobedience, where the protesters in the squares raise banners calling for political change, the release of detainees, and an emphasis on the unity of the Syrian people.  Through the implementation of UN resolution (2254).

Among the phrases addressed by the sit-down protesters were, "This regime must be aware that the situation is unbearable and change must be made." They also demanded that the mafias responsible for the impoverishment and starvation of the Syrian people be prosecuted.

 This comes in light of the deterioration of the living and economic reality, and the loss of the basic necessities of life in the areas under the control of the Damascus government, without the government moving a finger.

 And about the reasons for the renewal of the popular movement in many Syrian cities, especially the city of As-Suwayda, the Syrian writer and human rights activist, Adel Hadi, said in an exclusive interview with our agency: "The reasons for demanding regime change in order to reach freedom and dignity have not changed, given that tyranny was and still is depriving Syrians of their legitimate rights."  .

 Hadi explained, "What has changed is that the picture has become clearer in terms of the need for a transition to a real democratic system after the deception and betrayal of political Islam for the cause of the Syrians in general was exposed, so the demonstration must continue to achieve the demands of the Syrians for a political transition."

 Observers warned that the people's anger would lead to a societal explosion, at a time when the Damascus government ignores the people's demands and is intransigent in making any political concessions. Regarding this, Hadi said: "We see that, by virtue of the economic collapse and the accelerating collapse of the value of the Syrian pound, the rise in poverty rates and its wide coverage,  The societal explosion is inevitably occurring, due to the government's inability to provide rescue solutions and the failure of the system in general to manage the crisis, so the options became nonexistent except with a comprehensive and radical solution by implementing Resolution (2254) issued by the Security Council.

 Hadi added, "It is clear that it is heading towards an explosion in light of the conflict between the forces of international control and its failure to realize that the Syrian people have exhausted the possibility of patience and gained more than their ability to bear harm."
