Member of Security Forces martyed 2 others wounded in ISIS attack on Raqqa-Al-Hasakah road

On Thursday, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces - Raqqa canton issued a statement to the media and public opinion, regarding the exposure of one of its patrols to an armed attack, stating: "One of our patrols was subjected to an armed attack on the al- Karama Road that connects the cities of Raqqa and Hasakah. As a result, one of our members was martyed and two others were wounded, with various injuries.

This attack confirms that our pursuit operations against ISIS sleeper cells within the city of Raqqa at the present time are proceeding at a high pace, and have tightened the screws on them, that is why sleeper cells actives in the countryside of the city to help other Cell elements to escape out of the city.

These targets will not discourage us from continuing to pursue all elements of terrorist cells that are trying to strike stability in our regions, intimidate the security and safety of our people."
