​​​​​​​people of Al-Hasakah show solidarity with the besieged in Aleppo and Al-Shahba

 Since last August, the Damascus government has imposed a severe siege on the al-Shahba district and the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo, which is the most severe since 2018, and it prevents the entry of basic materials, fuel, foodstuffs, and medicines to them.

 The people of the city of Hasakah denounced the government siege, and expressed their solidarity with the besieged people in al-Shahba canton and the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo.

 The citizen, Najah Hawas, said, "The goal of the Damascus government is to impose a siege on al-Shahba canton, to re-impose its control over the region and undermine the will of the people."

 Expressing her rejection of the siege by saying: "We will not accept this inhumane siege imposed on our people in al-Shahba, and we categorically reject that."

 Government blockade and Turkish attacks

 Najah pointed to the convergence of the interests of the Turkish occupation state and the Damascus government, saying: "At a time when the Turkish occupation continues to attack northern and eastern Syria, the Damascus government imposes a siege on al-Shahba canton, which indicates their cooperation against the people of northern and eastern Syria."

 In turn, citizen Ismat Fatimi said, "The goal of the Damascus government in the siege is to displace the residents of al-Shahba," stressing that "the resistance shown by the people of al-Shahba canton comes from their close attachment to the soil of their land and not abandoning it at all costs!"

 Noting, "Despite the differences between the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation state, they stand shoulder to shoulder with each other, especially if the issue is related to ending the Kurds. But despite all that, we will not bow to the enemy and we will resist until victory."

 'It is more effective for the Damascus government to defend al-Shahba'

 For her part, the citizen, Sabah Musa, denounced the siege imposed on al-Shahba canton and Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, describing it as "brutal practices."

 And she continued, expressing her rejection of the siege, "We will not accept any form of siege on the people of al-Shahba canton," adding, "Instead of imposing a siege, it is more useful for the Damascus government to defend al-Shahba against enemies and attacks."

 In the same context, the citizen, Muhammad Dawi, said: "No matter how much the Turkish occupation and the Damascus government try to carry out these heinous acts and impose a siege on our region, this will not be an obstacle in front of us, but rather we will continue to struggle and resist until victory is achieved."
