Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiye hospital will be out of service within 10 days

An administrator at Martyr Khaled Fajr Hospital warned of the possibility of stopping health services in the only hospital in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiye neighborhoods, in the next few days; As a result of the siege imposed by the "Fourth Division" of the Damascus government on the 2 neighborhoods.

The administrator of Khaled Fajr Hospital, Ceger Xwin Muhammad, confirmed, "The hospital's reserve stock of fuel has begun to run out and will not last more than 10 days as a maximum, as a result of the Fourth Division preventing fuel from entering the two neighborhoods, which increases the possibility of stopping the work of the hospital, in all its departments."

It is known that cases of respiratory diseases, such as asthma and bronchitis, increase in the winter season, especially among the elderly, and children, and there is no treatment for them other than Oxygen spray, and the hospital is no longer able to provide everyone with oxygen, and this is also due to the consequences of the siege imposed on the two neighborhoods.

Concerning the shortage of fuel oil on which the hospital relies, Ceger Xwin Muhammad said, "The hospital receives about 40 patients per day to take oxygen doses, but

the number of gas cylinders is not sufficient for this number of patients."

Ceger Xwin stressed "Working in the health sector is a humanitarian act, and the siege imposed by the Fourth Division of the Damascus government on the 2 neighborhoods is an act that condemns humanity."

He stressed the need to find a radical solution to the hospital's condition, "The concerned organizations and authorities must intervene in order to save the patients' lives, the situation is serious, and this is a matter of life or death."

The fuel will run out, and it will not exceed 10 days, what will we do? And what will be the situation of the patients at that time.?

He added, "The Martyr Khaled Fajr hospital is the only hospital in the two neighborhoods, and there is no other destination for patients to receive treatment, the lives of patients are in danger, and so far no solution has been found."
