​​​​​​​GC movement prompts CPT to verify Ocalan status

 The angry responses continue by the people of northern and eastern Syria, regarding the policies of the Turkish occupation against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the inaction of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT).

 And the Human Rights Office of Al-Asr stated on November 29 that, according to the information it received, the leader Abdullah Ocalan did not attend the meeting during the visit of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture in September 2022 to Imrali, and the office expressed its concerns about the situation of the leader.

 In this regard, all regions of northern and eastern Syria are witnessing various events and activities that call on the concerned authorities and the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture to immediately disclose the status of the leader.

 Where the Golden Crescent Movement in the district of Tal Tamr in al-Hasakah canton organized an event for that purpose, which was attended by dozens of residents of the district.

 The event began with a protest in the tent canteen square in the center of the district, raising pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and banners reading "It's time for freedom."

 Rasha Ali Alou, the administrator of the Golden Crescent Movement in Tal Tamr district, read a statement in which she condemned the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and said: "Unfortunately, they call for human rights, and they block the sun of its freedom from it."

 During the statement, Rasha Ali called on the Committee Against Torture to immediately disclose the situation of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, saying: "it must disclose and review his health condition, and the United Nations and the Human Rights Organization must fully carry out their duties towards the leader Ocalan, and allow jurists to see him."

 Then the members of the Golden Crescent Movement read some poems, followed by a theatrical performance entitled "It's Time for Freedom", which simulates the international conspiracy that was hatched against the leader Abdullah Ocalan on February 15, 1999.
