Çia Kurd: implementation of Adana Agreement is unfair, cannot be accepted by people of the region

Çia Kurd said in a statement to the official website of the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration, "The Autonomous Administration adopts the Syrian national dialogue as a basis for achieving the the political solution for the benefit of all Syrians.

 On this basis, serious efforts are launched to achieve practical results by the Russian mediation."

Kurd touched on the statements of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, "in the midst of the speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation about NE Syria on December 7, 2022, in which the Minister discussed a number of matters, which can be called "far from reality", where the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria still adheres to the unity of the Syrian territories and the unity of its society.

We are not betting on anyone's will or decision.

Kurd affirmed that the Autonomous Administration of NE Syria is striving with all its might in order to preserve the unity of Syria instead of accusing us of division, investigation into the areas which have become Turkish states and are run by Turkish governors, also among our strategic principles is the Syrian national dialogue and the solution within Syria and the consideration of Damascus a destination for a solution, despite the intransigence of the Syrian regime and its refusal to see the existing reality.

Çia Kurd reiterated the Autonomous Administration's willingness to engage in any process that contributes to resolving the Syrian crisis, and he said, "Accordingly, we welcome any efforts, bring points of view closer, and we are still working in this field and our struggle continues in that direction."

Kurd rejected the accusations leveled at the Autonomous Administration by saying, " We affirm that any accusations about our refusal to accept the dialogue is nothing but an incorrect political reading that serves Turkey and its agendas in the first place.”

On the Adana Agreement, Çia Kurd said, " this agreement is illegal and against the interests of our people, and it was not approved by the decision of the Syrian People's Assembly, however it legitimizes Turkey and its occupation.

Kurd stressed the necessity of ending the Turkish occupation as a prerequisite for preserving the unity of Syria.

Çia Kurd stressed that stability in the Middle East is linked to resolving the Kurdish issue, and continued, "With all assurance, the Kurds in the region and the Middle East are an essential and authentic component since the beginning of the formation of civilization and cultures, but as a result of the policies of the central states, this issue has not been resolved and their rights have been denied, as in the last hundred In general, the policy of genocide and denial continues against the Kurds, and their rights are not recognized.

If the issue of the Kurds is not resolved in Iran, Turkey and Syria, no stability can occur and there will be many problems and complications.
