​​​​​​​Naissa: We are engaged in a fateful struggle between colonialism and freedom

 The Turkish occupation state escalated its attacks on northern and eastern Syria, since night of November 19, targeting vital centers and other populated areas.

 Undermining the capabilities of AANES

 Commenting on these attacks, the Syrian opposition and general coordinator of the Syrian Revolutionary Left Movement, Dr. Ghiath Naissa, spoke to our agency, saying: "The Erdogan regime has renewed a crazy war against our country, a devastating war for the infrastructure; it targets not only the heroic fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces, but also targets  Syrian civilians, seeking to intimidate them and push them to evacuate their homes, through widespread bombardment and the destruction of the necessities of life.

He added: "Through this war of aggression, the Erdogan regime works to undermine the capabilities of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, thinking that it will destroy it even if it does not have to launch a ground invasion campaign. It is also paves the way for it if the two largest countries, America and Russia, give a green light to do so.  This has not happened so far, and I do not think it will happen for several reasons.

 The attacks serve the interests of the powers involved in Syria

 Observers believe that the Turkish occupation state did not launch its recent attacks, without coordinating with the United States of America and Russia, which have forces and bases in the region.

 On this, Naissa said: "Certainly, the Turkish aggression enjoyed a kind of turning a blind eye on the American and Russian sides, but with certain limits. Thus, Erdogan's regime strengthens its weakened political positions internally, and pushes to export its multiple crises. It believes that  It also weakens the military capabilities of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

 He explained, "This last goal fits the regime's policies, as this brutal Turkish attack on the administration, the junta regime believes that it may push the Autonomous Administration to submit to its conditions, it seems to me that this Turkish aggression, if it remains within the limits of the air strikes, serves the interests of the major powers intervening in Syria, along with the Syrian regime."  Because they all fear the permanence of the Democratic Autonomous Administration project in northern and eastern Syria with its revolutionary, democratic and social political nature. Therefore, for the third time these major countries practice deception, lies and betrayal.

Naissa added: "In the face of this brutality of the Turkish occupation army, and its crimes amounting to the rank of war crimes against humanity, we are witnessing a valiant and heroic resistance of the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces and a will of steel to defeat the enemy. This mighty will stems from the fact that the SDF is based on the organized popular masses, and on a conscious political will. This heroic resistance of our people finds an echo in the world, where the leftist and democratic forces raised their protests and denounced the Turkish aggression, showing their support for the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces. This global solidarity rise is in its beginnings, it will grow and strengthen as much as  the brutal Turkish aggression continues.

 The Astana tour gave coverage to Erdogan's aggression

 These attacks coincided with the Astana round, which concluded with a statement attacking the Autonomous Administration and the people of northern and eastern Syria.

 The final statement of the trio of deals (Russia - Iran - Turkish occupation) was not different from what preceded it. As  usual, the trio agreed to oppose the AANES, and turned a blind eye to the barbarism of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in northern Syria.

 The statement renewed the anti-Autonomous rhetoric, describing it as a "separatist project."

In this context, Naissa pointed out, "It is certain that the recent Astana meeting gave Erdogan's regime cover to launch its air aggression, so did the United States. The two major powers that are fighting in Ukraine are each seeking to attract Turkey to its side in this global conflict, but at the expense of our region."

 During the recent attacks of the Turkish occupation, points of the Damascus government were targeted, which led to the loss of a number of its members' lives.

 Naissa commented on this, saying: "The Syrian regime is led by one idea, which is its compass, which is to remain without modification or a partner, and therefore it is primarily responsible for the disaster that our country is experiencing. Despite that, and because it is captive to the narrow-mindedness typical of all authoritarian regimes, it prefers  dealing with the occupying countries of our country is different from dealing with the people and their living forces, but, if the case remains like this, this destructive policy for our country will lead it to a miserable end, a dull regime that has no sovereignty under tutelage and vassal, and there are many indications of its deterioration towards this fate.

 He added, "Hence comes its absent and not shy position on the ongoing Turkish aggression, despite the fact that elements of its army were killed by Turkish bombing. A regime that does not really care about the lives of its soldiers, for they are meat for cannons to protect its survival and its narrow interests."

 Fateful struggle

 These attacks also coincided with the high frequency of talk about reconciliation between the Turkish occupation and the Damascus government, especially after the recent round of Astana, where the possibility of a meeting between Erdogan and Assad was being discussed.

Ghiath Naissa spoke about this, saying: "The Syrian regime is more interested in improving its relations with the occupying Turkish regime than it is in negotiating with the Syrians in the Autonomous Administration, leaving the occupation army to run amok and kill our people without moving a finger, and in this case, if we use the regime's own discourse, which is a false discourse  Who is the patriot who defends the integrity of the Syrian lands and the sovereignty of the Syrian people? Certainly not the regime in Damascus, but rather the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Democratic Autonomous Administration.

 He explained, "As I said, the understanding between the Turkish and Syrian regimes will mean that our country will be occupied and under tutelage for a long time, and the Syrian people will be enslaved and plundered by a tyrannical and dependent regime and the occupiers."

 Ghiath Naissa concluded his speech by saying: "What we are waging today is a fateful struggle, between the forces of reactionary reaction, colonialism and tyranny, and between the forces of freedom, equality, independence and justice. Every Syrian loyal to his people and country must choose his trench clearly. We stand at the decisive moment, with the aspiration of our people."  freedom, and its backbone today is our people and the forces of liberation in the Autonomous Administration.
