On Saturday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East AANES Syria issued a statement, which it published on its official website, about the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its continuous threats on North and East Syria.

In its statement, the Autonomous Administration called on the peoples and components of North-eastern Syria to rally around their institutions and said we call on the peoples and components of North and East Syria, and all its societal segments, to stand united in the face of the Turkish state’s threats, tricks and criminal practices, and to support their security, military and civil institutions and their national gains based on their great sacrifices.

AANES emphasized the resistance and that any attack would plunge the region into a long war: "If Turkey gets involved and attacks North and East Syria, the right of resistance and defense of our regions will be great and wide and may plunge the region into a long-term war with unimaginable consequences."

The statement reads:

“Everyone knows very well that the hostile policies of the Turkish state regarding what happened and is happening in the Syrian arena in general, and in particular its systematic aggressive policies towards the components and peoples of North and East Syria? Starting with its occupation of the regions of North and East Syria and its perpetration of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and its almost daily strike with all kinds of weapons against civilians and civil and military institutions, which fought and fight the terrorist organization ISIS side by side with the International Coalition, and as usual, the Turkish fascist regime comes out with its threat and escalation of war on the Autonomous Administration areas

The Turkish regime is deeply involved in the Syrian crisis

 If this indicates anything, it indicates the Turkish regime’s involvement to a large extent in the Syrian crisis and the crimes committed by Turkey, which have become exposed, and Turkish occupation will not be tolerated by the North and East Syria people, not to mention its internal practices and criminal behavior with the components and peoples of Turkey; This reflected negatively on its internal policies and its regional and international surroundings, so it resorted to creating pretexts, plotting and drawing scenarios far from reality, and the truth no longer deceives anyone, such as the bombing that took place in Istanbul on the thirteenth of this month, which killed a number of Turkish citizens, among the dead and wounded. And their direct media prompting by pointing the finger at the Autonomous Administration areas, at a time when all institutions denied any connection with this crime and denounced it. However, the Turkish regime insists on its fabrications and lies, which have become exposed to everyone as a plan orchestrated by it and its intelligence services, and returned again with its threats and threats to strike the areas of the Autonomous Administration and its national gains with the aim of creating a kind of confusion and instability and hitting international efforts to combat international terrorism.            

Especially since the regime in Turkey is at a crossroads ahead of the elections scheduled for next July and its direct support for Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham in replacing them with mercenary groups to occupy Afrin and its countryside, as well as turning it towards Damascus as if it was implicated in shedding the blood of Syrians from all components, not to mention them. About its involvement in other wars known to everyone, looking for a savior, even if that cost other wars at the expense of the blood, gains and capabilities of the peoples of the region and all its components.

The right of resistance and defense

At the conclusion of its statement, the Autonomous Administration emphasized the resistance in the event that Turkey attacked North and East Syria, and said: “Confirming that if Turkey got involved and attacked the areas of North and East Syria, the right of resistance and defense of our areas would be great and wide, and the region might enter the region in the dire straits.”
