Damascus troops trade fire with Turkish-backed mercenaries in Idlib and Latakia countryside

The countryside of Idlib and Latakia witnessed an exchange of artillery shelling between Damascus forces and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state, while the former bombed several villages south of Idlib.

SOHR said that the so-called "de-escalation" area witnessed an exchange of artillery shelling between the forces of the Damascus government on the one hand, and the mercenaries of "Al-Fateh Al-Mubin" on the other, on the axis of the town of Kafr Batikh in the eastern countryside of Idlib, and the axis of Kabana in Jabal Al-Akrad, north of Latakia.

SOHR added that Damascus government forces shelled, with heavy artillery, the vicinity of the village of Majdlaya, Kadora and Benin, south of Idlib, after midnight.

The mercenaries' points were also bombed in the vicinity of the "111th Regiment" axis in the western countryside of Aleppo, in conjunction with the flight of reconnaissance aircraft over the area.

On Thursday, Damascus government forces bombed with missiles and heavy artillery the villages of Shanan and Benin in Jabal Al-Zawiya in the southern Idlib countryside.
