People of Afrin canton condemn occupation's chemical weapons attacks on Medyas

 Hundreds of residents of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons took to the squares to denounce the attacks of the Turkish occupation army with chemical weapons and the international silence towards them.

 Today, the leadership of the People's Defense Center (NPG) published a record of 17 fighters from the Guerilla Forces;  They were martyred during the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state with chemical weapons.  It pointed to the increase in chemical attacks due to the silence and international support for these attacks.

The demonstration started from the entrance to the Favin district in al-Shahba canton, in which the demonstrators carried the flags of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, pictures of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and martyrs, and banners reading “Come to the battle of freedom against betrayal and occupation” amid chanting slogans “Long live the resistance of the guerrilla and the leader Abdullah Ocalan” and slogans glorifying  Martyrs.

 When the demonstrators stopped a minute of silence, followed by a speech on behalf of the Syrian Revolutionary, initially recalled all the martyrs of Kurdistan against the occupying dark forces.

 Zalal indicated that the Turkish occupation state has launched mass attacks with chemical weapons on the Guerilla forces in the legitimate defense areas without being  able to make any progress in this context.

 Zilal indicated that for 50 years, the popular resistance has continued under the leadership of the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, "on this basis, no one can undermine us and our will."

 She emphasized the resistance in the spirit of the youth, which derived its will from the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

 For his part, the deputy co-chair of the Afrin Canton Council, Muhammad Abdo, said that the Turkish occupation state's use of chemical weapons against legitimate defense areas is evidence of the weakness of the Turkish state, in front of the steadfastness and resistance of Guerilla.

Abdo referred to the catastrophic failure of the Turkish state at all levels, saying: "The Turkish occupation state seeks to restore its defunct Ottoman caliphate at the expense of the blood of peoples, especially the Kurdish people."

 In his speech, Abdo noted the betrayal of the Barzani family, saying: "We know that the Turkish state is an enemy of the Kurdish people, fighting the Kurds, but the KDP is closing in on the guerrillas."

 At the conclusion of his speech, the deputy co-chair of the Afrin Canton Council, Muhammad Abdo, stressed the need to raise the pace of struggle and resistance in the face of the Turkish occupation.

 The rally ended with slogans "Long live the resistance and the martyrs are immortal."
