According to experts, Arab States and Kurdish forces must converge and ally themselves in order to counter Turkey's policy of seeking control over the countries of the region.

Arab and Kurdish experts called for the disagreements raised by the governing regimes to be set aside and converged to confront Turkey's policies that threaten their survival and existence.

Neo-Ottomanism

For his part, the Egyptian journalist Ibrahim Shaaban stressed, "At this time, the Arab-Kurdish alliance has become an urgent need to confront Turkey's colonial and expansionist plans in the Arab countries."

He explained to ANHA’s agency that "Turkey Erdogan" has an expansionist tendency in Arab countries and does not hide it under the slogan "Neo- Ottomanism". This tendency does not recognize the sovereignty, independence or political borders of Arab States. "

According to Shaaban, "activating a genuine Arab-Kurdish alliance and moving in this context through political understandings with Arab States, especially those with borders with Turkey, such as Iraq and Syria, with a large Kurdish component, is a very important alliance at this time and foiling Turkish plans."

The Egyptian writer warned of Erdogan's move during the coming period, and after years of violating Syrian territory, and continued attacks on the Kurdish people, in contact with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Reforming his relationship with him, which comes at the expense of Kurds in northern Syria, In addition to continuing violations of Iraq's Turkish side and violations of its sovereignty, in order to take advantage of Iraq's difficult political circumstances, affirming that there is a clear danger to the Turkish project at the expense of both Arab and Kurdish territories.”

He stressed that "the Arab-Kurdish alliance is the most successful paper now to book Turkey Erdogan behind its borders and to corrupt its expansion project." "It is on the Kurdish side to open this up at the highest political level, with leaders in Iraq and Syria and to issue statements rejecting Turkey's brutal intervention and aggression against the Kurdish people, both in Syria and Iraq, as well as Turkish persecution, and the horrific massacres that have tarnished Turkish policy in dealing with Kurds for ages."

Shaaban called for "highlighting on Turkish attacks both on Kurds within Turkey and on racist policy towards them and their leaders, and on southern Turkey to expose the dimensions of Turkish policy". "The Kurdish people are an authentic and extended people. The Kurds number more than 45 million Kurds and it is time to open a new page in Arab-Kurdish relations beyond the past decade and recognize the Kurds' rights to self-rule, both in northern Syria and within Turkey, and stop the campaigns of persecution, racism and aggression towards them."

Shaaban concluded: "The Turkish project in the Arab world, a malicious project aligned with many extremist jihadist groups, and allowing it to break through the Kurd barrier in Turkey, Syria and Iraq, will be capable of penetrating all the borders of Arab States."

Unifying the ranks

For his part, Dr. Mohamed al-Yamani, an Egyptian expert in international relations during a special talk for ANHA’s agency, believes that "the Arab-Kurdish alliance is very important at this time because of the Turkish incursion into the Arab region."

According to al-Yamani, "Turkey's crimes, killings and displacement in Syria, as well as its actions in Iraq, require an Arab-Kurdish rapprochement in order to stand against those practices, which stem from the Erdogan regime's belief in the new Misak-ı Millî, which views most Arab countries as a mere Turkish legacy that must be restored."

He considered that "the unification of the Kurdish ranks is required at this time in order to stand firmly in front of Turkey, stressing that if the Turkish regime senses a solid Kurdish force possessing material and military power that threatens its schemes, it will retreat slightly."

Al-Yamani points out that "the Turkish regime will not allow an Arab-Kurdish rapprochement because it recognizes that the existence of such an alliance or rapprochement will greatly threaten its schemes and therefore always seeks to make a difference between the parties".

He explained that "in order for convergence or the Arab-Kurdish alliance to occur, it is first necessary to bring the views closer between the parties and resolve the outstanding differences and thus work towards the establishment of this alliance."

"The parties must realize that their survival depends on their rapprochement in the face of Turkey's current policy of seeking to reduce its differences with the countries of the region despite the considerable differences they have gathered with them earlier."

He concludes: "The Turkish incursion must be confronted with all the power that has come to our attention, that if Turkey is now a force that is significant in many files, it is more than useful to our Arab countries and to the Kurds in particular."
