Political parties in Raqqa condemn the Turkish attacks

Dozens of members of the Future Syria Party, the Democratic Union Party, the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria, the Modernity and Democracy Party for Syria, and the Kurdistan Republican Party gathered in the city of Raqqa to make a statement to public opinion.

The statement reads: "For 11 years, the Turkish occupation state has practiced the most horrific practices of killing and displacement against Syrian territory, in addition to that it was a gateway and support for terrorism in Syria."

"More than 30% of the Syrian territories are occupied by Turkey, and it is trying to occupy more lands from a neighboring country, violating all international covenants."

And today, during the last three months, that Turkey failed to obtain international approval to complete its aggression and occupation of more Syrian lands, it resorted to more aggressive methods, with the aim of creating terror and chaos in NE Syria to emptying it of its components that have coexisted since ancient times."

Added, "In the name of the political parties operating in the city of Raqqa, today, we gathered to send to the whole world our rejection and condemnation of what the Turkish occupation state is doing under the eyes of the world, and we affirm our support for our project, the Autonomous Administration project and our military forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, in their right to legitimate defense against those practices that were recorded in the most horrific crimes list in the 21st century."

Finally, the statement stressed, "we call on the Damascus government to play a greater role in repelling the Turkish aggression, to defend the sovereignty of the Syrian territories, and to work to liberate the occupied areas and expel Turkey from every inch of Syrian territory."
