Head of Kurdistan Renewal Movement expects Syrian crisis to enter new phase

After a series of meetings held between the countries involved in the Syrian crisis, such as the Madrid summit and the Tehran and Sochi meetings, the Turkish occupation state intensified its attacks against North and East Syria, using drones and warplanes.

According to Kurdistan Renewal Movement Head, PH.D. Rezkar Kassem, these attacks threaten not only North and East Syria but the entire world, and Turkey's targeting of the city of Kobani by warplanes is to strike the symbolism of this city, which has taken a global character in the resistance against the most powerful terrorist organization (ISIS/Daesh).

Razkar Kassem's statements came in a dialogue with ANHA’s agency, about Turkish attacks against North and East Syria, the silence of international forces, and the reasons for the silence of the Damascus Government.

Noting that the silence of the Damascus Government stemmed from the intersection of Russian interests with Turkish interests, He said: "The regime is well aware that its survival depends on the Russian presence", and stressed that the components of North and East Syria should trust only the Autonomous Administration and the SDF, which, through the sacrifices it made, proved to be the only guarantor of its bright future soon.

*The Turkish occupying state has been conducting violent attacks against North and East Syria, particularly through drones and warplanes recently. How serious are these attacks, and what is their primary purpose?

Of course, Turkey's barbaric attacks are not new of the moment, they have a historic extension. For more than a century, and even further, the Kurdish people and the people of the region, started from coming the Turks to Central Asia till today, Turkey has played a disruptive role at all levels since the first day of the Syrian crisis. from the terrorist industry through the reception of terrorists to their export to Syria and other regions.

Erdogan certainly did not get the green light to enter by road, and in return Russia and Iran gave even America the green light for its UAVs and warplanes to target Kurdish areas and the SDF, This gives clear signals of the start of a new game and a new scenario in the Syrian dilemma and has become clearer, especially Russia's role and its trade-off policies and to continue with the Turks in this circle, which is making every effort to create the negotiating ground, or reconciliation between the Governments of Ankara and Damascus at the expense of the opposition, which has surrendered itself of Ankara since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. and the return of the Syrian regime to the areas of Rojava and North-eastern Syria, it was also prior to 2011 on the basis of previous agreements between them, including the 1998 Adana Convention.

entering its practical framework, both parties agree on a focal point, namely, combating SDF and AANES, besides taking its broader form, in which the Astana axis is agreed to fight this experiment in Rojava and North-eastern Syria and America's policies remain nebulously towards these developments, between supporting SDF on the one hand and the lack of political recognition of AANES. and between silence on Turkey's barbaric attacks as a NATO ally, Despite being able to play a bigger role in another direction it creates a far-reaching view that its project, the American project. to create more chaos in the region to impose another scenario to counter the Russian-Turkish scenario and the Syrian regime and Iran by exploiting the Russian-Syrian regime's planned convergence with the support of the Syrian forces rejecting this convergence, Thus the formation of a genuine revolutionary force coordinating with the SDF and, of course, putting the concept of revolution back on track for its own interests. And so I expect the Syrian crisis to enter a new phase, because the powers of the International Coalition led by America are well aware of the gravity of Russia, Turkey and the regime in Syria as well as Iran's (New Middle East) project.

* The Turkish occupying state has targeted points of the Syrian Army's border guards, but the Damascus Government has not made any statement or responded to these attacks, although it is concerned with border protection, how do you explain its position?

Syria is divided between the regions and influence of international and regional powers. It is the international forces that have actual influence on the ground. Russia has influence over the Damascus Government, and since Russia's interest intersects with Turkey; There is no doubt that the regime will not be able to respond today, not even years ago, when Turkey occupied the border strip, al-Bab, Azaz, Afrin and then Tal Abyed and Ras al-Ain on the one hand. On the other hand, this silence and lack of response are the result of agreements between the parties, such as the Adana Agreement, which establishes the intersection of their interests against the Kurdish cause and the components of North-eastern Syria. In view of the fact that the intelligence meetings between the parties have not been interrupted, Damascus is less concerned with protecting the borders than with continuing coordination and commitment to Russia's trade-off policies. The regime is well aware that its survival depends on the Russian presence.

* There are two agreements between Russia and Turkey, Turkey and America for a ceasefire, but from day one Turkey has not adhered to these conventions, and Russia and the guarantors of America remain silent, in your opinion, as to why, and what is needed now?

Today, we are living through a very delicate phase, where rapid political changes and developments that depend on interests and change the balance of power and alliances that violate all the agreements, especially Turks who have dirty policies centred on striking Kurds and exploiting everything that can be exploited to achieve this goal, Despite their abuses against their allies in coordination with the Russians, the guarantor States, Russia and America, have their interests with the Turks, thereby turning a blind eye to the excesses of the Turks, but as previously answered; Turkey will face a difficult phase with the forces of the International Coalition in the coming period, and it will enter an unenviable phase, especially Erdogan's regime, which leads me to expect negative repercussions on Turks from their own allies through the Turkish street itself.

What are the components of North and East Syria and the Kurdish people now required to deter Turkish attacks?

In the midst of today's conflicts of interest in Syria between regional and international Powers, and in order to confront this delicate phase, we must exercise diplomacy with great wisdom and take the necessary steps to create an intersection of our interests with the international parties with which our project is in harmony. On the other hand, the internal front is strengthened among all components in Rojava, North and East Syria, leaving no vacuum between the administration and SDF and the people.

All components of the region must be vigilant vis-à-vis Turkey's occupation policies targeting all, not just Kurds, and stand together with its administration and forces, the SDF, which is the best guarantor of the region's future and its components.

It is my appeal to the people of the region, in all its components, to trust only the AANES and the forces of the SDF, which, through their sacrifices, have proved to be the only guarantor of their future soon.
