Outcome of the Turkish attacks on Manbij after its liberation from ISIS

​​​​​​​The city of Manbij and its villages were liberated by the hands of its children, and a democratic administration was formed with the participation of all components. This did not satisfy the Turkish occupying state, which is constantly threatening to occupy it. Since its liberation, attacks have not ceased. 120 people, including children and women, were martyred and wounded and bombed with 5,673 shells.

Following the liberation of the Manbij Military Council (MMC) with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Manbij on August 15, 2016, the most important stronghold of foreign ISIS/Daesh mercenaries from the front row, the mercenary departure centre for North and East Syria and their crossing point from the west through Turkey into Syria to carry out their terrorist operations were subjected to attacks, infiltration attempts and threats of occupation by the Turkish occupation.

The people of this area, supported by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), had begun a military campaign to liberate it from ISIS/Daesh mercenaries on 1 June 2016, ending on 12 August of the same year. Its liberation was officially announced on 15 August 2016, and since then the region's reality has begun to change into a balance point for Middle Eastern forces.

The Turkish occupying state's attacks on that city and its villages have not ceased for 6 years, as the Saguar River is a natural boundary separating the Manbij Military Council from the Turkish occupation mercenaries "Euphrates Shield". Mercenaries have placed fortifications along the occupied line.

Construction of 13 Turkish military bases

The 13 military base of the Turkish occupation was built in the occupied villages, in addition to the presence of dozens of mercenary points. Mercenary attacks on the villages of Manbij, from the villages of Jarabulus and Bab, have intensified and have also increased in activity following Turkish occupation threats.

According to the Council's statistics for 6 years, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombed these areas with 5,673 shells, launched 4 air strikes and bombed from their bases in the villages of "Karata, Tukhar, Aoun Dadat, Halungi, Yashly, Sheikh al-Nasser, Shuwayha Olashli, Zarzor and Kradiya 1,423 time.”

During these attacks and shelling, 35 people were killed and 85 injured, including children and women.

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries targeted 181 shells at citizens' homes, destroyed 18 houses, burned hundreds of hectares of agricultural land and damaged the electricity grid in several villages in Manbij.

According to the Manbij Military Council, during their attacks, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries targeted service facilities and houses of worship, destroying one school, one farm and two houses of worship.

Operations of the Manbij Military Council

Manbij Military Council MMC in the framework of legitimate defence also dropped 12 Turkish occupation UAVs, 5 of which were suicide bombers, in addition to foiling 32 enemy infiltration attempts, killing 35 mercenaries and wounding 27 others.
