Guerillas killed 14 occupiers and inflicted damage to helicopter

The HPG Press Office released the following statement regarding the ongoing fighting in the Medya Defense Area:

“Our mobile teams are constantly inflicting heavy blows to the Turkish occupation army. As a result of these actions carried out by our forces with the spirit of Apoist militancy as they confronted the occupiers, 14 occupiers were killed, 2 fighting positions and a surveillance camera system was destroyed in addition to damage being inflicted to a helicopter. The Turkish occupiers bombed the fighting positions in the Resistance Areas 10 times with chemical weapons and explosives, 5 times with warplanes, 20 times with attack helicopters and tens of times with howitzers and tanks.

In the context of the Revolutionary Process of Martyr Savash Marash in the Battle of Khabur:

On July 18 at 18.40 p.m., Our teams carried out an action with sabotage tactics and killed 2 occupiers as they attempted to bombard the fighting positions in the Resistance Area of Gire Amediye

On July 18 at 18.50 p.m., Our YJA-STAR forces carried out a sniper operation against the occupiers in the Resistance Area of Gire Amediye and killed 2 occupiers.

On July 18 at 07.00 a.m., our forces put a group of occupiers under their control in the Resistance Area of Gire Hakkari and carried out a following sniper operation, killing 2 occupiers

On July 18 at 20.40. p.m. in the Resistance Area of Hakkari Hill, our forces targeted a Skorsky helicopter which was attempting to descend in the area and also targeted occupiers in its vicinity. As a result of this sniper operation, 2 occupiers were killed. The helicopter which was targeted by our forces was forced to withdraw from the area.

In our statement from July 17 2022, we stated that our Comrade Mervan Baz (Shehmous Akkoyun) was martyred as a result of attacks by the Turkish occupying army in the region of Zap. Our comrade was not martyred. He is still carrying out his duties. We would like to apologize and correct this wrong information and ask for forgiveness from his family and our people.

On July 18, the fighting positions in the Resistance Ares of Gire Amediye, Gire Hakkari, Şikefta Birîndara and Karker, was bombed 10 times with chemical weapons and explosives.

On July 18, a UAV hovered over the Resistance Area of Gire Amediye and Gire Hakkari.

On July 18, the Resistance Area of Gire Bihar, Gire Amediye, Saca and Çemço was bombed 5 times with warplanes

On July 18, the Resistance Area of Gire Amediye, Gire Cudi, Gire FM, Gire Hakkari and Kurojahro was bombed 20 times with helicopters.

On July 18, the Resistance Area of Çemço, Gire Amediye, Gire Cudi and Gire Hakkari was bombed tens of times with tanks and howitzers launched from bases along the border.
