KDP: 3 million trees destroyed by Turkish occupation

The Kurdistan Green Party(KDP) announced that 3 million trees destroyed in the Turkish attacks on Bahdinan area in Başûr (southern Kurdistan).

The Kurdistan Green Party in Başûr (South Kurdistan), issued a statement on the occasion of World Environment Day. The statement was read by party spokesman Dana Najmuddin.

The statement confirmed, "The destruction of 3 million trees as attacks launched by the Turkish state on the Behdinan region. It indicated that they are planning to plant about one million trees in Sulaymaniyah."

The statement added, "A complaint was submitted in the Iraqi court and the United Nations against Turkey which destroyed nearly 3 million trees in the Bahdinan and Dohuk areas.

The statement called on all citizens of the Kurdistan region to cooperate with them in the process of preserving the nature and environment of Kurdistan.
