Notable warns Arab countries of upcoming Ottoman danger, criticizes silence of Arab League

 The Turkish occupation state continues the process of demographic change in the occupied territories, the latest of which is the construction of settlements for Syrian refugees with the support of Arab countries claiming to help in strengthening stability for the Syrian people, especially Qatar and Kuwait.

 In this regard, our agency met Wajih Al-Jaabat clan in Raqqa, Youssef Al-Assaad, who said, "The settlement of one million refugees is a new settlement and occupation project, the goal of which is a process of demographic change."

 The silence of Arab countries is not new

 Al-Assaad noted, "Turkey used the refugees at the beginning of the Syrian crisis as a pressure card on European countries in order to achieve its political and military interests, and today it wants to complete its Ottoman project by housing the people of Homs, Aleppo and the countryside of Damascus in the countryside of Hasaka, Afrin and Idlib, and all of this process is changing the demography of the region." 

 Al-Assaad criticized the Arab League’s silence in general, saying, “Its silence is not new, as it has been silent since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. Turkey has interfered in the affairs of many countries such as Libya, Iraq and other countries that are trying to occupy them. The Arab League did not make any statement condemning and rejecting this intervention.” 

 All Syrians have homes, why settlements

 Al-Assaad asked why (Qatar and Kuwait) support Turkey in building settlements?  Why did these Arab countries not contribute to solving the Syrian crisis, returning these refugees to their original homes?

 Al-Assaad stressed, "If Turkey is serious about returning refugees to Syria, why doesn't it return them to their homes? All Syrians have homes, why doesn't it return them to them? Why does it build settlements for them on lands that have its own people, and they are displaced from it because of its occupation policies?"

 Al-Assaad warned all Arab countries of the danger of the current Turkish occupation policy, and said, "The peoples of the region with all its components must unite to confront the new Ottoman occupation, which targets the will of the peoples of the region," stressing that "the will of our people is stronger than their plans."

 Al-Assaad concluded his speech by saying, "Today in Ras al-Ain, Afrin and Idlib, and tomorrow it will be in the entire Middle East. These countries must wake up from their slumber."
