Ramziya Muhammad: Women must confront malicious schemes against Kurds

The consultative meeting of Kurdish women in Qamishlo city began under the slogan "To unify the positions of Kurdish women against the occupation" with a minute of silence, then the spokesperson for Kongra Star, Ramziya Muhammad, gave a speech in which she welcomed all the attendees, and blessed the women who resist against fascism in the prisons of Turkish occupation.

Ramziya Muhammad referred to the attacks against Kurdistan, especially Rojava, by Turkish occupying state, saying: "These agreements and conspiracies extend throughout history with the aim of exterminating the Kurds, while Kurdish women are the most of whom suffer of these policies."

Ramziya drew attention to the role of women's movements, organizations and political parties, as well as civil society and human rights institutions, and said: "All Kurdish women must play a major role in confronting all policies and conspiracies being hatched against Kurdistan people."

She added, "In Rojava revolution, in north and east Syria, women played a major role in political terms and in all fields, and thus deserved to define the revolution as women's revolution."

Ramziya stressed: "To discuss the role of women in protecting women and Kurdistan gains, and to confront the politics practiced against them, we are holding this consultative meeting."

Kongra Star spokesperson, Ramziya Muhammad, focused on the role of Kurdish women in political parties and civil society institutions, in order to seek to hold the Third Conference of International Women, and to stand in particular on the war practiced against women by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries who aim to break their will, preventing her from performing her role within society, and trying to obliterate the role of militant woman who seeks to create resistance and struggle in all fields of life.

At the conclusion of her speech, Ramziya Muhammad praised the great role played by Women's Protection Units (YPJ) and Free Women's Units (YJA STAR) in confronting the attacks of Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and protecting women's gains.
