​​​​​​​Sheikh of al-Naim clan in al-Tabqa: Shingal wall is built with Turkish bricks

 The popular rejection of the construction of the wall between  Shingal and northern and eastern Syria continues.  The people on both sides consider the wall a danger to them.

 About the risks of building such projects in the region, our agency held a meeting with the Sheikh of the Naim tribe in Tabqa, Abdul Rahman Al-Jado’, who started his speech by saying: “The separation wall that is being built between Shingal and north and east Syria is nothing but a plan that the authoritarian forces in the region are working on in order to  strangle the Yazidi people in Shingal, isolating them from other components, and encircling and fighting all existing democratic projects in the region.

 About the argument taken by the Iraqi army in building the wall, which is being ordered by the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi and an agreement with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, that the construction of this wall will be to protect the area from the danger of ISIS mercenaries, Al-Jouda said, “In 2014, the borders were wide open for ISIS mercenaries.  The worst types of injustice and various kinds of massacres against the Yazidi people, and the Iraqi forces did not move in the face of this danger and did not provide any protection for this people.”

 "But after the liberation of Shingal and the achievement of security and safety in its territory, which came through the Kurdistan Workers' Party and the People's Protection Units, the Iraqi forces began building this dividing line with the aim of separating the peoples and striking the gains of the Yazidi people and thwarting their Autonomous Administration."

 Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Jadoa pointed out that the first plan of this authoritarian project is the Turkish occupation state, and he pointed out, “The principles and foundations on which the wall was built are the principles of the Turkish fascist state, which always seeks to fight free peoples in all regions, which prompted the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Democratic Party to implement this project in order to consolidate its hegemony over neighboring countries.

 Al-Jouda stressed, "No matter what the authoritarian regimes  do building walls and placing barriers, they will not achieve what they seek, because the peoples of the region have historical ties since ancient times, and this societal cohesion will be enough to thwart everything that is planned in secret against them."

 Abdul Rahman Al-Jadoa concluded his speech by sending a message to the members of the Yazidi community and all the peoples and clans that surround the region to stand seriously in the face of tyrannical projects that oppose the freedom of peoples.
