Sit-in tent in Manbij initiates to decry Turkish occupation attacks on Başûr

The Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Manbij and its countryside set up a sit-in tent to denounce the genocidal attacks launched by the Turkish occupation on the legitimate defense areas in Başûr (Southern Kurdistan) and NE, Syria.

Members of the Democratic Civil Administration in Manbij and its countryside, the Social Affairs and Labor Committee, the Interior Committee and the Internal Security Forces in Manbij participated in the first day of the tent activities, which are scheduled to last for 3 days, in the city center.

The program of the first day began with the audience standing for a minute of silence in remembrance of the souls of the martyrs, then the co-chair of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Manbij, Ahmed Al-Jumaili, delivered a speech in which he said: "We set up the sit-in tent today against the attacks of the Turkish occupation on us before its attack on the guerrilla", indicating that the targeting of guerrilla. It is an attack on the will of the people.

For his part, the co-chair of the Legislative Council in Manbij, Mohammad Ali al-Abbo, said during his speech that "the Turkish state, since its inception in the last century, has been working hard to consolidate the Ottoman Empire through its expansionist project, but unfortunately it has always used accomplices, whether in Syria or Iraq to achieve its agendas through these, against the peoples of the region.”

"We, the people and administration of the city of Manbij, reject all practices that disregard international laws and norms," Al-Abbo added.

Pointing out that "Turkey is working hard to expand and occupy our regions to strike the spirit of resistance in them, because we are the owners of a democratic project that expresses brotherhood between peoples, freedom and equality."

It is planned that delegations from all the city and military institutions and political parties in Manbij will flock to the tent.
