Al-Maliki calls on the Iraqi government to address the Turkish abuses

The representation of the Central Organizing Committee of the demonstrations in Iraq organized a protest against the continuous Turkish attacks on areas in Southern Kurdistan and the occupation of large parts of the lands, in front of the Turkish entry visa application center in the capital, Baghdad, according to Roj News Agency.

The protesters raised a banner that read, "The Iraqi people... reject the violation of Iraq's sovereignty and the incursion into its land by Turkish forces."

While the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, commented on the attacks of the occupying Turkish state inside Iraqi lands, expressing his solidarity with every free Iraqi voice rejecting Turkish violations of Iraq's sovereignty.

A statement from the office of Nuri al-Maliki stated, "The head of the State of Law coalition expressed his solidarity with every free Iraqi voice rejecting Turkish violations of Iraq's sovereignty, stressing his support for those who were displaced from their homes and churches due to the continuing condemnation of the Turkish attack on areas in Dohuk, which caused intimidation." Our brothers are safe and peaceful Christians.”

Al-Maliki added, according to the statement, "We do not know what those responsible for this Turkish war with the PKK think? When will it end and will our Kurdish and Christian people remain under the brunt of this war, living anxiety, sadness, killing and displacement?"

He continued, "Enough is enough, whether by deploying dozens of Turkish army headquarters or continuing the bombing of villages and farms, and we call on the Iraqi government to quickly address these abuses."
