Calls to form Fact Finding committee to investigate of Turkish occupation atrocities in Afrin

Politician Jamal Rashid said that the statements of Abdul Hakim Bashar and his followers are nothing but clients to consolidate the occupation in Afrin and other areas, and called for the formation of a fact-finding committee in occupied Afrin.

Abdul Hakim Bashar and followers of the Kurdish National Council and the so-called National Coalition opposition continue to drum up the Turkish occupation, justify and legitimize the occupation and hiding the crimes it commits in occupied Afrin.

Recently, the deputy of the so-called opposition Syrian National Coalition and a leader in the Kurdish National Council, Abdul Hakim Bashar, stated that the crimes that occur in Afrin are individual actions, in an attempt to polish the page of mercenaries and the Turkish occupation, from all the crimes committed against the people of Afrin.

Politician Jamal Rashid said that the "Syrian Revolution" deviated from its essence, and the leaders of that revolution became mercenary tools in the hands of Turkey, through which it sought to protect Turkish interests in Syria, implement its occupying plans again and revive Ottoman ambitions.

Jamal Rashid touched upon the number of crimes committed by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in Afrin, and said in this regard, "Afrin has completely changed from the previous one. The Turkish aggression targeted the social fabric, history and human heritage in it, and even its nature, with the aim of making a complete demographic change for the canton through the machine of killing, kidnapping and displacement."

Rashid added: "In many forums, some statements came out from Abdul Hakim Bashar, Vice head of the so-called National Coalition, that there is no crime in Afrin and that the situation in Afrin is safe, and if there is a crime, that crime is individual and the perpetrators are immediately held accountable."

During his speech, Rashid said that Abdul Hakim Bashar and his followers are nothing but clients to consolidate the occupation in the occupied Kurdish areas, and its effect will end with the arrival of the Turkish occupation to its goals.

Jamal Rashid called on international, humanitarian and human rights organizations to carry out their humanitarian and legal duty and to form a fact-finding committee and send it to Afrin to find out the crimes committed in Afrin.

Rashid also appealed to the international community "to fulfill its responsibility towards the people of Afrin and hold Turkey and its mercenaries to account."
