Sheikho reveals reasons of intra-mercenary fighting in Afrin Canton

In an interview with ANHA Ibrahim Sheikho, the Spokesperson for Human Rights Organization –Afrin –Syria, revealed the reasons behind the infighting in the Afrin Canton in the last two days among the competing factions in the Afrin Canton. Sheikh said'' factionalism and infighting between groups of mercenaries has been a common fact that repeats itself in occupied areas continuously and specifically in Afrin''. 

Sheikho said two days ago an infighting broke out in the village of Midanke of the Bilile district revealing '' it was on the allocation of food items before the time of the breaking the fast in Ramadan''.

Sheikh said the infighting between the Hamzat and Majid brigades in the Bilbile district came as a result of allocating the stolen properties of the Afrin people.

Sheikho said clashes erupted between the so-called Mu'yasem Brigade and the Bu Bena clan as a man of the clan was beaten by mercenaries of the brigade in the center of the Afrin city.

Sheikho said the Turkish occupation forces are the sole responsible part for the disorder and anarchy in the occupied areas.

 Ibrahim Sheikho, the Spokesperson for Human Rights Organization –Afrin –Syria, noted ' the most striking idea is that Turkish occupation army did not intervene to end disputes among the warring factions. The aim is to make Afrin a spot for mess and anarchy to give justifications to the occupation of the region.

Sheikh refuted the allegations made by Abdul Hakim Bashar deputy to the so-called Syrian National Coalition that Afrin is a safe zone and those living in the canton are leading a peaceful life.

Sheikh said all documents and the demographic change in the canon refute such allegations.
