​​​​​​​Co-chair of SU party demands physical freedom of leader Ocalan

 The co-chair of the Syriac Union Party, Sanharib Barsoum, demanded the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and stressed that the leader Ocalan does not only represent the Kurds, but all oppressed peoples.

 The demands for the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan continue.  These claims are not limited to the Kurds only and the geography of Kurdistan, but include millions around the world.

 In this context, the co-chair of the Syriac Union Party, Sanharib Barsoum, explained that the isolation imposed on the leader, Ocalan, is in violation of all laws and state charters in securing good conditions, stressing that "the Turkish state seeks to subjugate Mr. Ocalan through arbitrary arrest, bad conditions and isolation imposed on him." 

 Barsoum called on international organizations to intervene to clarify the facts regarding the isolation imposed on the leader, Ocalan, and said: "Mr. Abdullah Ocalan's thought does not represent only the Kurds, but extends to include all oppressed peoples that have suffered for long years of persecution and marginalization," adding: "This is also embodied by  Through the Autonomous Administration that is trying to create this harmonious project common to all components."

 On September 10, 2020, the KCK had called, during a statement, for a campaign to end the danger targeting the Kurds, in order to create a free and democratic life in Kurdistan and all the countries in which the Kurds are present under the slogan "Enough of isolation, of fascism."  And occupation, it's time for freedom.” It was launched on September 12, 2020.

 On what is required to achieve the goals of the "Time for Freedom" campaign, Sanharib Barsoum stressed: "Activities and events that would put pressure on the Turkish regime must be intensified in order to respond to these popular, partisan and official demands, in addition to international pressure on the Turkish regime to release  Mr. Ocalan.
