​​​​​​​Ibrahim Sheikho: international silence increases Turkish crimes in Afrin

In a statement made to ANHA Spokesperson for Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria, Ibrahim Sheikho revealed the outcome of the crimes committed by Turkish occupation forces and the affiliated mercenary groups in Afrin Canton in late March.

Sheikh said Turkish occupation forces and intelligence abducted 85 civilians including 12 women in addition to 15 minors. 

Sheikh said two historical sites were destroyed in addition to building settlements in Sherawa and Qermitleq village in Shiye in Afrin. 

In indication to the crimes committed by Turkey and its mercenaries Sheikho said crimes are committed on daily bases with the aim to deport and displace civilians from their homes or compelling them to pay tens of thousands of USD. 

Sheikh confirmed the international community silence and the international organizations did not dub the Turkish occupation as an occupation for it was excused according to the 51 article of the United Nations Charter 1945 under the pretext of the national security ''though Afrin never posed threats to the national security of Turkey''.  

On the demographıc change ın the Canton Sheıkho saıd '' after the occupatipn of the canton the Kurdsi per cent contratced to 25% after ıt was 95 and thıs shows the realıty when Erdogan saıd Afrın wıll return to ıts ındegenous owners ındıcatıng to Turken and Arabs''.  

Sheıkho saıd tıme and agaın the Turkısh presıdent he would create a sefa zone ın northern Syrıa and thıs reveals why more than 18 settlements were created ın dıfferent areas of Afrın sponsored by Qatarı and Kuwaıtı foundatıons''.

Sheikh said the ''whole matter is done under international silence''.

Sheikho noted that Gulf organizations have set on the second phase of building settlements in under Besmehin the village of Shadeira of the Yazidis in the Shrawa district in addition to building a settlement in the village of Qermitleq in Shiye.

Sheikho said they were able to contact some Gulf activits and especially in Kuwait indicating that journalist Jasem Jreid sent a letter to the Imir of Kuwait and explained the core of building settlements in Afrin adding they (Afrin Organization )are waiting a letter from the Imir of Kuwait in this regard''.

Sheıkho saıd they have contaceted many foundatıons that seek to buıld settlemets backed and sponsored by Gulf foundatıons and especıally Qatarı, Kuwiti and Palestinian ones''.
