Mahmoud meets Francois Hollande, the latter confirms his support for Rojava

People's Protection Units (YPG) spokesman Nuri Mahmoud met with former French President Francois Hollande, while the latter confirmed his support for Rojava.

Nuri Mahmoud's meeting with the former French President, came within the framework of Mahmoud's diplomatic tour in Europe

The meeting focused on the situation of NE, Syria and renewed activity of ISIS mercenaries in the region.

Mahmoud touched on the siege imposed on NE, Syria and its repercussions on NE, Syria regions.

In turn, former French President Francois Hollande thanked the YPG by saying : "We owe it to you because you defended us against terrorism".

It is noteworthy that cooperation between the two sides developed during the rule of former French President Francois Hollande, when ISIS mercenaries attacked Kobani in 2014.

Hollande was the first French president to receive the leader of the Women's Protection Units, Nasreen Abdallah, and the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party at the Elysee on February 11, 2015.
