​​​​​​​Ilham Ahmed : Turkish occupation should be held accountable for its crimes in the region

Ahmed during her participation in the conference of the Women's Council in North and East Syria said:

"So far, the United Nations has not listed the Turkish crimes and violations on the Syrian territory in its reports."

Elham drew attention to the crimes of the Turkish occupation state, through mercenary groups such as (Al-Amshat Division and Ahrar Al-Sharqiya), by saying: "Those who are arrested in the occupied areas are investigated by Turkish intelligence, and they are subjected to torture by the Turkish intelligence service." .

Ahmed stressed the need to hold Turkey accountable for the crimes of killing citizens in the occupied areas under the sight the international courts, where its crimes are consistent with Damascus government's.

Elham Ahmed called on the International Community to "name the Turkish intervention in the Syrian territories as an official occupation and permit the human rights groups and independent institutions to enter the occupied areas to investigate into Turkish crimes in the prisons."
