The statement added, "What the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries are doing in our occupied areas confirms once again, especially in light of the international silence from the United Nations institutions, Russia, the international coalition and the Syrian government, that Turkey is continuing its policy that is not in line with the Syrian interest."

The statement made an appeal to the international community and its institutions, to realize the dangers of Turkish policy in Syria, and to stay away from any special interest or agendas with Turkey.

The General Council concluded its statement by saying, "Today, Turkey is raping women and killing innocent and defenseless civilians, and the demographic change it is doing is nothing but war crimes. We call on all the countries of the free world and appeal to our revolutionaries that we will continue the revolution until the liberation of the last inch of Afrin's lands."

After reading the statement, the audience went to light the Nowruz torch, where the torch was lit by all the families of the martyrs.
