​​​​​​​PKK: Let's make every day as Newroz against fascism and occupation

On Monday, PKK's Central Committee issued a statement on the occasion of Newroz, calling on all the sons and daughters of the Kurdish people to turn every day of this new year into a new Nowruz, the statement read :

" This year we welcome a new and different Newroz, which is the symbol of unity, resistance and freedom, it represents one of the greatest symbols of freedom in human history.

With establishment of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, the beauty of this occasions increased and became more meaningful and took its proper place, just as nature opens its doors to bloom in the spring, we also renew and restructure ourselves in every Newroz.

In 2022, the Kurdish people, the Kurdistan Freedom Movement and our friends are waiting for Newroz. We welcome the New Year of Newroz on this basis, as enthusiastic celebrations of Newroz are held in the four parts of Kurdistan and all over the world, wherever there is a patriotic Kurd, the torch of Newroz will be burning.

Based on that, we congratulate Leader Abdullah Ocalan and all our comrades in the party, the sons and daughters of our patriotic people and the revolutionary democratic friends on the occasion of Newroz and we wish them every success in the new year.

Newroz this year coincides with the fiftieth anniversary of the Ocalan revolutionary leap that found the birth of the Kurdistan Workers' Party whose nucleus was in 1973 by a group of six people in the Gubok Dam area of Ankara state.

Now, the Ocalan truth march has entered its fiftieth year, and become clear that ocalan is the leader of Newroz.

The PKK was born and developed as the Newroz party under the leadership of the leader Ocalan and the Kurdistan Workers' Party, the Kurdish people have turned into the people of Newroz by continuing their struggle and for freedom over the past 49 years.

This is the first time in the history of Kurdistan and leadership of Kurdistan Freedom Movement represented by the Kurdistan Workers' Party, which has been able to continue the struggle and fight for freedom without interruption for fifty years.

We recall all comrades Hakki Qarar, Mazloum Dogan, Khairy Dormusch, Kemal Bir, Sakine Cansiz, Muhammad Karasungur, Akid, Biritan and Zilan. We give them once again a promise that we will achieve their goals and honor their memory.

We must not forget our heroic martyrs who provided the support during the holy freedom march that lasted half a century under the leadership of leader Ocalan. Those who brought our people's struggle to the point of no return and ensured the victory.

Out of the courage of guerrillas, Kurdish women and youth which created this heroic march to all the oppressed peoples, especially the Turkish, Palestinian Arab, Armenian and Assyrian Syriac people,

On this occasion, we salute everyone contributed to the holy freedom march with respect and love.
