IRGC takes responsibility for missile attack On Erbil

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a missile attack on the strategic center of Zionist conspiracy and evil in the early hours of Sunday.

"Following the recent crimes of the fake Zionist regime and our previous statements that the crimes and evils of this infamous regime will not go unanswered, last night, the strategic center of Zionist conspiracy and evil was targeted by powerful missiles of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps," the IRGC said in a statement.

Mahmoud Abbaszadeh, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian parliament, had rejected, hours ago, the "accusations" that Tehran was responsible for Erbil's attack.

He said the accusations "cannot be confirmed".

At dawn on Sunday, the government of South Kurdistan announced that an attack with 12 ballistic missiles targeted the city of Erbil, resulting in material losses.

The Anti-Terrorism Service in South Kurdistan said in a statement that:

"The missiles were launched from outside borders of Iraq and South Kurdistan, specifically from the east.
