The statement reads:

“It is time for a free woman in Kurdistan.”

For thousands of years, the patriarchal power of the colonial powers has viewed Kurdish women as the greatest threat to their authority. When one looks at history; He finds that the women who resisted and struggled for freedom and a decent life, were killed by inhumane methods. In spite of this, the struggle and organization of Kurdish women became a hope and a torch for women in the Middle East among women around the world.

The tyrannical and occupying forces have adopted special policies of extermination against Kurdish women to ensure their extermination. They practiced sexual violence against thousands of women, and offered our women as spoils of war to their soldiers, and sold thousands of them to other countries.

They despised them because they are Kurdish. They made Kurdistan a field of injustice, lack of identity, and no entity. Kurdish women have experienced the same situation. They have made women victims of a lack of political entity, identity and injustice. Along with the policies of lack of political entity pursued by foreign powers, the ruling regime also caused the killing of women in the name of clan, religion, and customs and traditions. Despite all this injustice suffered by Kurdish women from these two sides, the hope of freedom for Kurdish women has not been broken. Because Kurdistan was the cradle of social civilization for women in the history of Mesopotamia. Freedom has always been hidden in women

As Kurdish women, we also have our forces in the four parts of Kurdistan, as well as women's civil society organizations, economic organizations, diplomacy, political parties, councils, municipalities, as we are engaged in work in all political fields within the framework of the joint administration. With this self-confidence, our brave women destroyed ISIS/Daesh and the forces hostile to women and peoples.”

The statement continued, "The Turkish regime in Bakur Kurdistan is pursuing a systematic and ideological policy against Kurdish women. But it will not be able to break the will of women by assaulting them by special forces, through arrests and torture, and defaming the image of Kurdish women, and will not be able to impose surrender on them. The Kurdish women's movement in Bakur Kurdistan is resisting on both the political and social levels.

In Rojhilat, too, women took their place among the ranks of the resistance in other parts of Kurdistan, and they struggled in the spirit of national unity despite all the pressures of the Iranian regime. The legacy of Kurdish women's freedom continues in prisons despite all forms of torture. In the south, in the face of a male-dominated system that excludes women from society and politics, and the country is being sabotaged and plundered indefinitely, women's struggle is escalating by the day.

In Başûr, the need for a women's revolution is increasing day by day. In Başûr, males control the system, which is collapsing under the weight of political and economic crises. Now is the time for women's freedom in Başûr to liberate and protect the country."

The statement concluded by saying, "We, as Kurdish women, remember the working women who resisted in New York on March 8, 1857 for their wages and were burned. We have not forgotten that cry, that is why we have achieved the level we have reached now. We considered the pain of all the resisting working women in the world and were martyred as We have suffered and considered their successes our success. We renew our pledge to Clara Zetkin, as a sister to these brave women, to turn this century into a century of women's freedom. We also remember on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day all the women who martyred for freedom all over the world, especially Kurdistan."
