Redwan Sleiman still in prison though served ruling

ON 17 September 1991 Redwan Sleiman was arrested in the city on Wan in Northern Kurdistan due to his affiliation t Kurdistan Workers' Party. Sleiman has served in seven different prisons.

Reacting to the arrest three members of Sleiman's family joined the party on the very same day of Redwan's arrested by Turkish authorities.

By 5 September 2021 the sentence passed on Redwan was served but instead Redwan be released from prison a six month sentence was passed on him. The additional ruling was served too. Redwan is being held in Afion at a solitary cell. 

Redwan Nasri Sleiman:

Redwan Nasri Sleiman was born in 1960 in the village of Sanjak Sa'doun in southern Amuda sub-district of Rojava, or Western Kurdistan in a home loving family. He was unable to proceed his studies as had no Syrian ID. He was arrested twice by the Syrian government. In 1988 he met leader Abdullah Ocalan. 

Fath Allah brother of Redwan says: in 2019 after so much hardships we contacted my brother, it seems he was so tired. Then we received information that he had fractures in his limbs and nose due to torture''.

Fath Allah said he is proud of the resistance put up by his brother that ''urged them to join the Rojava Revolution''. 

From his part Rawan said his brother vomited blood but he overcome all hardships and was never defeated''.

Rawan said Sleiman was told to ''speak to his family either in Turkish or Arabic but he refused to do so. He had high morals''.

Sleiman says he is so lucky to serve in the same cell that housed Mazloum Dogan in the Amed prison.
