Ain Issa ... Dozens of families are afraid to return to their villages

Turkish escalation and bombardment on the vicinity of Ain Issa district and its countryside recently caused the displacement of 53 families from their villages in the villages of "Al-Fatsa, Msherfa Ain Issa, Al-Swaid" because of the direct target of their homes by Turkish occupation.

Turkish bombing on 22 of last January caused the demolition of several houses in these villages, killing a citizen and wounding 5 others, from the same family, are: "Saleh Muhammad al-Hamoud (22 years old), Muhammad Salih Hammoud (45 years old), Abd al-Rahem Hammoud ( 40 years old), Hassan Muhammad (20 years old), and the child Abd al-Rahem Saleh al-Hamoud (14 years old).

In an interview with ANHA agency, Khadeja al-Abed from al-Swaid village (7 kilometers east of Ain Issa and about two kilometers south of international road) she said about the reason why they did not return to their village: "Our village is located close to the frontlines with Turkish enemy and is constantly bombarded."

She continued, "Our villages were constantly bombarded, but in the vicinity of the village, but this time our homes were directly targeted, and what frightened us the most was targeting Saleh al-Hamoud family, killing one child and wounding several others."

At the conclusion of her speech, she called on the international community and Russian guarantor to put pressure on Turkey to stop the bombing of their village, in order to ensure their safe return to it and to their property.

The citizen Salha al-Mohammed, from al-Swaid village, only spoke with a few words, "I am afraid, shells are falling on our homes," as a result of her fear from the Turkish shells that fell down on their village on 22 of last month.

When these families were displaced from their village, they went to Girê Spi camp in northern countryside of Raqqa city, which in turn received them temporarily in large tents.

Ali al-A'abo, administrator in the camp, said that they received them as a humanitarian case due to the conditions they went through and the bombing targeting their village.

And added, "We provided them with some necessary necessities according to our capabilities, such as bread, sponges, blankets, and heating material," pointing out that they can't receive them in the camp for a long time due to the lack of space, and the refusal of organizations working in the camp to help them because they did not enter the camp records and the organizations working in it.

Turkish occupation escalated its bombardment during the past 2 months on all villages on frontlines, causing the death of 2 citizens and wounding 11 others.
