Daily crimes against residents of Tel Tamer by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries

 Since the Turkish occupation state occupied the city of Serêkaniyê and reached the outskirts of Tal Tamr district in late 2019, the villages of Tal Tamr district have been under violent bombardment and almost daily.

 Since the beginning of August of last year, the Turkish occupation has escalated attacks on the region, committing crimes against its residents.

 About these attacks, the people of Tal Tamr district spoke to ANHA agency, where Ismail al-Rahil said, "The Turkish occupation targets civilians and infrastructure in the area," explaining, "We live in a tragic situation and continuous suffering, due to the violations of the occupation."

 He pointed out that the only way to stand in the face of the occupation and its mercenaries is to "join hands for our presence here today in Tal Tamr is a message to the occupation and its mercenaries that we will not abandon our land no matter what happens," calling on the international community and the guarantor forces to stop the occupation's attacks  Turkish.

 The displaced from the occupied villages of Sere-Kaniye, Mahmoud Khader, who lives in Tal Tamr, said in this regard: “During the invasion of the occupying state and its mercenaries, we were displaced to the city and its villages, and we headed to Tel Tamer to protect ourselves and we thought that we would be here safely, but as it appears to everyone, the occupying Turks will not allow us to live in safety, as their attacks target the villages of Tel Tamer and the safe villages inhabited by displaced people.”

 He explained, "The villages that are being targeted are safe villages, but they target us under false pretexts, as their bombardment is now targeting Assyrian villages and cemeteries, in addition to mosques and schools, all with the aim of emptying the area and legitimizing the occupation."

 For her part, the co-chair of the Tel Tamer district council, Samar Khalil, spoke and said, "Since July 2021, the Turkish occupation has escalated the pace of its attacks against Tal Tamr and its villages, as attacks have become daily, causing great damage to the villages of the area."

 Samar Khalil added, "During these attacks, the occupation targeted 7 schools in the area, in addition to mosques, churches and Assyrian cemeteries. It is trying to obliterate the identity and civilization of the region's residents, not to mention the great damage caused to the property of the civilians who were forced to flee due to the almost daily attacks."

 In her speech, Samar pointed out that "there are about 50 villages, between Tel Tamer and Zarkan district, that have been without electricity since the seventh month until now, and we cannot provide assistance to the residents of these villages, because the occupation prevented maintenance workshops from doing their work, and the residents of those villages  Their situation is very tragic, and we confirm that the villages on the frontlines have almost destroyed most of their homes due to the daily attacks.”

 Samar Khalil stressed that the only way to stop these attacks is to support the military forces (referring to the Tal Tamr Military Council) and stand with them to deter attacks that affect the region, and unite and not abandon the land.
