​​​​​​​Female jurists seek to hold accountable those committed crimes against women  

Civil associations and human rights organizations including Human Rights Organization- Afrin –Syria documented crimes against women in all areas occupied by Turkish occupation forces and their affiliated mercenary groups all referred to concerned bodies.

According to Human Rights Organization –Afrin-Syria, crimes against women in occupoied areas are as follows:

84 murders including 6 suicides and 1000 abductions and 71 cases of sex assaults. 

On the issue, Nur Hisein member of the Legal Committee of the Syrian Woman Council said:

Leading role of women is guaranteed according to international laws by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1235 on Women, Peace and Security in 2000 saying this should be activated against Turkey and its mercenaries.

Nur said ince the onset of the Syrian crisis violence against women in different shapes were on the rise, and especially in areas under occupation of Turkish army and the mercenary groups which she described as areas where women are skillfully tortured. 

On the situation inside Turkish jails in occupied areas Nur said ''those jails are considered as hotbeds for psychological and physical torture for the Syrian women adding this will not pass without punishment and that they will seek to hold those accountable all those committed  crimes''.

Nur said ''one of the priorities of the Syrian Women Council in this phase is challenging all impedes that obstruct women to take part in peace making decisions and preserving it''.

In turn, Member of the Woman Office in Syria's Democratic Council Cihan Mohamed said violence against women is unacceptable confirming on the necessity of standing up to effects of armed conflicts on women, and that disregarding the role and contribution of women to solving disputes and building peace which is a United Nations duty and of all member states. 

Cihan added the image of free women which Turkey seeks to send to the world via conferences is untrue rather they are fabricated that aim to mislead the public opinion.

Regarding 1325 Cihan said Turkey took part in drafting the resolution but it does apply it in the occupied areas whether in Syria or Libya.

Cihan said the most affected areas where women were damaged are Syria and Yemen describing Turkey as a terror sponsoring state which targets the community in the body of women adding Turkey has no deterrence in occupied areas and allows itself to terrorize people and commit breaches without deterrence.      

At the end Cihan said the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is the sole project that opened the way for women to take part in decision making and be part of the administration.
