TEV-DEM: supportive parties of terrorism must be held accountable 

The activities of the Fourth Conference of the Democratic Society Movement, held this morning at the Aram Tiran Center for Culture and Art in the town of Rmelan in Qamishlo canton, continue under the slogan "Democratic culture develops through democratic institutions".

After standing for a minute's silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Gharib Hesso and Zulal Jakar delivered a speech; It was started by Zulal Jakar, who welcomed the audience.

She said: "Undoubtedly, holding this conference at the present time is very important for us and for all the peoples of north and east Syria, while we are discussing the activities of the conference, the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces are showing heroism in order to defend the region and protect the security and safety of society, and our people." In its turn, it is rising up in all areas and cities of the region for the funerals of its martyrs.

Zulal Jakar recalled the martyrs of the "Hammer of Peoples" campaign, and continued: "In every victory achieved by the people of the region, our enemy begins to work to end the will and resistance of our people and end our democratic revolution. And the plans being hatched against them will not deter them from their struggle for freedom and the defense of Syria and north and east Syria in general.”

She stressed that "the security and peace that we live in now is due to the struggle of our fighters and martyrs and the resistance of our people, but we have to know very well that our revolution is still going on, and our lands are still occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries, so we have to escalate the struggle and work to develop the society mentally."

Zalal Jaker explained that the Democratic Society Movement works and struggles on two main fronts, namely: "the liberation of the areas occupied by the Turkish state and its mercenaries to achieve security and safety in the region, and the development of the revolution in north and east Syria based on the thought and philosophy of the democratic nation of the leader Abdullah Ocalan."

She noted the beginnings of the founding of the Democratic Society Movement, and said: "The Democratic Society Movement struggled for 11 years, and played an important role in the revolution in north and east Syria, where it was able to reach all components and peoples of the region, and was able to develop itself in all fields."

For his part, the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hesso, congratulated the holding of their fourth conference on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the martyrs of the "Hammer of Peoples" campaign, and the people of north and east Syria, and said: "The resistance shown by our people and our fighters in the People's Hammer Campaign was a new stage of victory for the whole region."

Gharib Hesso referred to the ISIS mercenary's attack on al-Sina'a prison in al-Hasakah, saying, "The international community has not yet found any solution to the terrorism file in north and east Syria, and with the killing of the mercenary Abdullah Qardash, known as (Abu Ibrahim al-Qurashi), terrorism will not end, but the parties must be held accountable, in order to open the way to peace and security.

Gharib Hesso indicated that since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, many parties have sought to displace the people of the region, undermining their will to keep them away from their revolution. Despite all the events that the region witnessed, we played an important role in developing the region on the basis of the democratic nation’s philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and we will continue our struggle based on the organization and democratization of society and the delivery of the democratic nation’s project to all peoples.
