Intellectuals: ISIS file's solution lies in establishing International Court

AANES and SDF repeatedly called on Human Rights Organizations and the International Community to solve ISIS mercenary file by establishing international courts in North and East Syria to try them, but without a response.

Although ISIS has been geographically eliminated, it remains a threat, with thousands of detainees and their families in NE Syria.

The researcher, Muhammad Hussein, believes that ISIS mercenaries in prisons and al-Hol camp are responsibilities of all countries, saying: "There are ISIS mercenaries of more than 50 nationalities, so everyone should bear the responsibility to ward off their danger, and countries should restore their citizens who were involved in ISIS ranks, prosecuting them in their countries, or establishing international courts in North and East Syria in accordance with international laws.

Hussein indicated that ISIS mercenaries receive support from several regional and international parties, which increases their danger to the world, and said, "What happened in Al-Sina'a prison in Ghweran neighborhood is a big scheme, there are hands supporting ISIS cells until they were able to launch such an attack.

On the 20th of last January, ISIS mercenary cells launched an attack on Al-Sina’a prison, south of Al-Hasaka, with a car bomb and two motorcycles, which is considered the largest, since their defeat in Al-Baghouz in 2019, in an attempt to release thousands of ISIS mercenaries detainees in Prison.

Hussein pointed out that " All those who participated in the attack on Al- Sina'a prison had committed the most heinous crimes against citizens, they themselves participated the Turkish occupation in their attack on Afrin and the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî."

Hussein explained, "There are hands support ISIS mercenaries in North and East Syria to revive them so those who support these terrorists must be prosecuted."

Hussein made the point clear that: "All countries know that Turkey is the main supporter of ISIS terrorists, amid a lot of evidence and confessions, so why are they silent about this? We see that their silence is evidence in connection with ISIS and the Turkish occupation.

For his part, the writer Akram Dureesh indicated that the recent attack by ISIS mercenaries on Al-Sina'a prison has many goals, somehow sending a message to the world that they are staying, and striking Autonomous administration project in North and East Syria.

Dureesh held Damascus government responsible for what happened in the city of Al- Hasaka, and said: " silence of the Syrian government, which controls a security square in Al-Hasaka, on such a scheme confirms that it was fully aware of what would happen," stressing that " There is a joint plan between it and Turkey to strike the region, where ISIS cells alone cannot carry out such an attack.”

The two writers, Muhammad Hussein and Akram Darwish, see establishment of international courts to prosecute ISIS mercenaries in NE Syria, and cut support for it would resolve its pending file.
