​​​​​​​Hesso: Turkey furious at ISIS defeat, so launched aerial raids on Kurds  

Yesterday evening, the Turkish occupation army launched large- scale of attacks by using warplanes and UAVs on the areas of Deirk and al-Shahba in North and East Syria and the Shengal regions, and the Rustam Judi Refugee Camp in Southern Kurdistan, which coincided with the announcement of the defeat of ISIS in the attack on al-Hasakah Sina’a Prison on January, by heroic resistance by Syrian Democratic Forces, SDF, Internal Security Forces, ISF.

ANHA’s held an interview with the co-chair of the Movement for Democratic Society (TEV-DEM), Ghraib Hesso, talking about the repeated attacks on NE, Syria, Mexmûr (Maxmur) and Shengal, and linked these attacks to the failure ISIS in Sina’a Prison in al-Hasakah City, the great victory that had been achieved by SDF and NE, Syria peoples in “People’s Hammer” Campaign, and defeat ISIS again, that shocked Turkey of inflicting harsh blows with Turkish occupation and its schemes.

At the outset of its occupation on NE, Syria, Turkish occupation army has expanded its brutal attacks on ground and air attacks on the area, but last night it intensified them on the areas of al-Shahba, the villages of Deirk and Mexmûr (Maxmur), as well as on Shengal, which have been subjected to a series of raids. All this shows that they are trying to avenge the defeat of ISIS.

The Turkish occupying state has not assumed the strength of the will of the peoples of NE, Syria, in particular the components of the al-Hasakah region. It has therefore launched and continued brutal attacks on the region.

Hesso added, "Everyone knows that Turkey is a member of NATO, but unfortunately we see that a NATO country is helping ISIS mercenaries, supporting mercenaries to launch an attack on Sina’a Prison to sabotage ISIS leadership from prison, expanding its attacks on the region, but their scheme has failed."

He explained Turkey's audacity in continuing its crimes against the people of the region: "The leaders of the Global Coalition and NATO have never held Turkey accountable for its crimes. On the one hand, it is a member of NATO and on the other, it supports mercenaries." Hesso stressed that Turkey should be held accountable for its crimes, particularly after the attacks on al-Hasakah Sina’a Prison. "Turkey must be tried for this because it commits massacres against the people of the region."

Hesso explained that the Turkish occupation is trying to exploit its attacks in various ways. It is trying to retaliate against ISIS and damage and besiege the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

Ghraib Hesso appealed to the people of North and East Syria to join forces to counter the occupation attacks: "Like the Movement for Democratic Society (TEV-DEM), we call upon our people in North and East Syria to hold a united position in the face of these attacks. Just as the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces supported us to thwart the ISIS attack, in the spirit of this victory and in the spirit of 121 martyrs, we will address these attacks in order to preserve our gains.
