Hajj Issa: Regime’s settlements return us to days of kissing hands

The so-called “reconciliation and settlement” processes in the areas under the control of the Damascus government are still the first news on the screens and media of the Damascus government, describing them as “honored by Bashar al-Assad,” as if it was an amnesty for a crime committed against a state or an individual in it. This was met with a great reaction and condemnation from  people of North and East Syria, political parties, civil and military institutions.

 The head of the Council of the Future Syria Party, the Euphrates Region Branch, Farhan Hajj Issa, and during an interview with our agency, he said: “More than ten years have passed since the Syrian crisis, in which the infrastructure and social fabric were destroyed, through internal and external practices,” and stressed that “the first official responsible  About the Syrian regime from the beginning.

 Hajj Issa added, "The Syrian state has become a failure and one of the largest countries that permeate corruption, as a result of the security mentality practiced by the regime since the sixties of the last century until today. Unfortunately, the regime sees the national issue that our people came out with as a security issue, until it became a deadly war." 

 Issa indicated, "The regime is not looking for a radical solution to this crisis, but rather wants to solve it through some settlements in Syrian regions through its security branches to prove the regime's fascist mentality."

 He said, "The regime’s settlements through the security services and cells linked to it, as if nothing had happened in this country, and today it comes back and "descends to accept the hands" of these security services, describing it as a request for satisfaction," and considered it ridiculously offensive to the people of Syria.

 Issa stressed the need for a dialogue in which all components participate to resolve the Syrian crisis: “These settlements will not be a solution to the Syrian issue, and the Syrian issue must be at a round table of dialogue in which all Syrian parties participate and those who believe in the peaceful and democratic process, and does not prevent the regime from participating in it being  A party to this land and the national cause of the Syrian people.

 He continued his speech, saying: "The case is greater than the dark rooms of the security services that the regime is doing in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor and other Syrian cities, and broadcasting propaganda within this angle, and these settlements show the security mentality in our country, Syria, which has no future."

 At the end of his speech, he described, "These settlements are hotbeds of security and sedition for the Syrian people in general and the north and east together in particular, stressing that they will not be beneficial to the political process in this country."
