SDF: 9 prisoners from the employees of Al-Sina'a prison were liberated

This morning, Media Center of SDF issued a statement to public opinion, confirming that their forces are continuing their security and military operations in Al-Sina'a prison and its vicinity and the eastern Deir al-Zor countryside, as well as Raqqa.

The text of the statement reads:

"During the early hours of yesterday evening, in security and military operations, our forces succeeded in liberating 9 prisoners (prison staff) from the hands of ISIS terrorists, as these prisoners were transferred to safe places.

In Al-Zhour neighborhood, the sweep operation launched by our forces to target ISIS terrorists in civilians' homes who had planned to carry out terrorist operations to support the terrorists in Al-Sina'a prison resulted in the killing of 5 terrorists wearing explosive belts.

In Ghweran neighborhood, our forces carried out raids targeting terrorists' hideouts, where clashes happened with a number of them, during which 9 terrorists were killed, including 2 suicide bombers.

In south of Hasaka, on vicinity of Khabour River, our forces continued their sweeps operation against ISIS terrorists who planned to carry out terrorist operations to support the terrorists besieged in Al-Sina'a prison, where 3 mercenaries were killed during a clash.

Our forces continue their security and military operations in Al-Sina'a prison and its vicinity and eastern Deir al-Zor countryside, as well as Raqqa region."
