​​​​​​​ANHA’s agency monitors the latest developments around Geweran prison

The Internal Security Forces, supported by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) since the clashes, have confined ISIS mercenaries to the Al- Zuhur neighbourhood and buildings adjacent to Geweran prison on the southern side of Hasakah.

Due to the ongoing clashes, ISF in al-Hasakah was forced to impose a curfew within the city in order to keep the civilians’ souls in safely, and to limit the movement of mercenaries outside the walls of Geweran prison.

ISIS cells are stationed in al- Zuhur neighbourhood targeted the citizens those who rejected to hide ISIS cells in their homes, as the result of shooting fire randomly to terrorize the citizens, in which 3 citizens were martyred according to ISF’s statement in NE, Syria on evening Friday.

Yesterday, after besieging of the attacked ISIS cells in al-Zuhur neighbourhood and some areas on the northern side of the prison that used the citizens as human shields to block combing operations of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched in the area.

In return, the Internal Security Forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces have facilitated the exit of civilians from the area, amid an intensive security measures, to prevent them from being used by ISIS mercenary cells as human shields.

SDF Media Center confirmed in a statement on its official sites that ISIS mercenary cells had prevented more than 289 families from leaving the Al –Zuhur neighborhood west of the prison to reach safe areas under their forces' control.

According to the same statement, there was an internal qualifier among ISIS mercenaries in al-Sina’a prison in Geweran, where 7 mercenaries were killed who tried to advance towards the Syrian Democratic Forces to surrender.

With the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Internal Security Forces are trying to push the cells of ISIS mercenaries to surrender, without resorting to major military operations.

Since the outbreak, the clashes have injured 7 Internal Security Forces and the martyrdom of member Khalid Alewi, according to the Internal Security Forces information office in northern and eastern Syria.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) failed to try to escape more than 120 ISIS mercenaries detained in the Geweran Al-Sina’a prison, according to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center.

While covering the attack by ISIS mercenaries’ cells on Al-Sina’a prison in Geweran, on the southern side of the city of Hasaka, ANHA agency’s correspondent, Basil Rashid, was wounded with two bullets, one in the chest area and another in the abdomen, in addition to splinter in different parts of his body, after which he was transferred to the hospital, the doctors said that his condition is stable.
