Munther: Removing PKK from

 On December 13, 2021, the global initiative launched a campaign under the slogan "International Justice for the Kurds", to remove the name of the PKK from the "terror list" in both the European Union and the United States, where more than 100,000 prominent personalities joined this campaign fom 30 countries in addition to a large number of parliamentarians, academics, writers, activists and politicians.

 In turn, the People’s Initiative for North and East Syria announced its joining the campaign to remove the name of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party from the “terror list”, and confirmed that it would organize continuous activities in all institutions, organizations, villages and cities, and collect signatures in this regard, in order to remove the name (PKK) from the list of terrorism.  .

 In this regard, the spokesperson for the People’s Initiative for North and East Syria, Ferzanda Munther, explained to our agency that the emergence of the PKK was associated with the policies of denial and ethnic genocide that the Kurds were subjected to centuries ago at the hands of the dominant powers, and he continued: “Going back to history, we see that all the Kurdish uprisings and revolutions  were thwarted by the dominant powers, and thus the establishment of the PKK was a response to all the policies and practices that the Kurds were subjected to.”

 Munther indicated that the Kurdistan Freedom Movement had a prominent role in protecting humanity and peoples from genocide and ethnic cleansing, while it had an important role in eliminating ISIS mercenaries geographically in Rojava and Başûr Kurdistan, where it was distinguished by its struggle and democratic and ecological thought from all other classical parties.

 Munther stressed that the PKK has popularity and supporters from all over the world and Kurdistan, as a result of the resistance and struggle it has shown over decades for the sake of all humanity.  The premise is that the party recognized its humanity and its path full of resistance at the global level.

 Farzanda Munther noted the joining of the popular initiative in northern and eastern Syria to the campaign to remove the PKK from the list of terrorism, saying: "We, the peoples of northern and eastern Syria, take from the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan mainly in our revolution, as the common denominator between us and the PKK is the thought of  And the philosophy of the leader, and thus the demand to remove him from the list of terrorism is a fundamental duty of every individual in the region, because he has supported us in our revolution in all respects.”

 He added: Every Kurd is considered by Turkey and the dominant forces as a terrorist, since the beginning of the revolution in northern and eastern Syria, it has launched continuous ground and air attacks on peoples, and uses all methods to end the democratic project that has taken root in the region with the will and resistance of its peoples.

 The spokesperson for the Popular Initiative in North and East Syria, Ferzanda Munther, stressed the importance of the campaign to remove the PKK from the terrorist list, "We will join this campaign by organizing multiple events within all institutions, organizations, villages and cities, and we will collect signatures democratically in order to remove the PKK from the list."  Terrorism," stressing that they will continue this campaign for a month and a half within the region.
