Unidentified persons assassinate doctor in Al-Tayyana in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor

Unidentified gunmen assassinated this evening, Dr. Abdel Mofedi, in the town of Al-Tayyana in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Local sources told our agency, "Unidentified persons shot Dr. Abdul-Mofdi, dead near Al-Kindi Hospital in Deir Ezzor's Al-Tayyana"

According to the source, “Al-Mofedi is a surgeon, and he comes from the town of Salhiya in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor on the right bank of the Euphrates River, where he settled in the Autonomous Administration areas due to the regime’s pursuit of him and worked in many medical centers as a general surgeon.”

The Internal Security Forces began investigating two separate assassination incidents, the first targeting Dr. Abdul-Mofedi Ali near Al-Kindi Hospital in the town of Al-Tayyana, east of Deir ez-Zor this evening, and the second in Al-Hol camp, where cells of ISIS assassinated the paramedic in the Kurdish Red Crescent, Muhammad Muhammad. Armed men, who presented themselves as patients, entered a medical point belonging to the Kurdish Red Crescent and shot him, as a result of which the paramedic, Bassem Muhammad, lost his life.
