Autonomous Administration of Afrin: the Turkish aggression seeks to achieve what ISIS failed to do

Dozens of members of the Autonomous Administration Bodies and Institutions of Afrin gathered in Baerxwedan camp' square in Faven district of Shahba Canton, carrying pictures of the martyrs of massacre committed by Turkish occupation in Tel Rifa'at, and a sign reading "Turkey occupies our land, kills our children and the elderly, and Russia is silent."

The statement was read in Arabic by deputy of Executive Council of Afrin Canton Israfel Mustafa, and in Kurdish by administrator of Women's Body Zluokh Rashed, and the statement reads:

"The fascist Turkish government is trying to cover up its internal crises and compensate for its diplomatic failure for 2021 with more aggressive attacks on Autonomous Administration areas from Tal Tmer, Zarghan and Kobani, targeting civilians, children and places of worship, the last of these attacks was on Kobani city and its villages, where a civilian was martyred and 12 civilians were wounded. Kobani, which remained resistant to the aggressive plans of Turkey and ISIS, became a center for the free people of the world, and won the hearts of the peoples of the world looking forward to freedom.

The statement indicated that Turkish aggression seeks to achieve what ISIS was unable to achieve, " Turkish aggression seeks to achieve what ISIS failed to achieve by exterminating the Kurds and striking the state of stability, with the silence of America and Russia, the guarantors of the ceasefire."

While denouncing and condemning Russian and American silence towards what Turkey is committing, continued, "We, in Autonomous Administration of Afrin, denounce the Turkish aggression against Kobani and the rest of AANES areas, and we condemn the silence of America, Russia and all the countries of the world that will not help them in protecting the security of their citizens from cross-border terrorism."

We, the people and the Administration in Shahba, have mercy on the martyrs of Kobani and wish a speedy recovery for the wounded, and we stand in solidarity with our people in Kobani with their historical resistance.
